VRP-Labs Campus History and Facilities
CAMPUS HISTORY
VRP-labs Campus was originally built out by MeddImmune for its own Deep Science research. Including: Wet labs, Dry labs for: Life Science, Biotechnology, Clean rooms, Tissue Culture, Oncology, and a Vivarium.
They built the campus for their own use and they built it well. It was their core science research campus and their science developments on campus lead them to be acquired by AstraZeneca for $15 Billion. Astra Zeneca Rolled them into their other campus and no longer needed the Bernardo campus.
Which is great news for local research companies that need robust lab facilities. This campus now supports many types of Deep Science Research.
Our Specialized Faculties and Infrastructure
VRP-Labs was Built for Deep Science research with everything you would expect in a HIGH end Research Facility and is all ready to use now. Over 100 private labs for private company use. Our managed campus lets you focus on your Science not the facilities. Our Facility highlights include:
House systems to distribute C02 and Clean Dry Air through out campus. Our larger research labs all have these in place. We can add these to any of our Private Labs.
HEAVY POWER- 4 Megawats of POWER, 4,000 amps of 480VAC three phase power. 208VAC three phase power distributed through campus. BACK UP POWER: 2 Diesel generators provides 600kw of power that is distributed through out campus. For your Freezers and incubators and any other power need.
Strong HVAC systems: We have 40 different air handling systems: package units for specific rooms, large 100% outside air systems, Systems that provide HEPA filtered air for clean rooms. Many exhaust air systems ready to support your equipment. We can support a wide range of HVAC needs and research needs.
Chemical Fume Hoods: We have dozens of Chemical Fume hoods on campus in private labs and for shared use.
CLEAN ROOMS: we have HEPA filtered CLEAN ROOMS: ISO 8, ISO7, possible ISO6. Also referred to as Class 1,000 or Class 10,000.
Vivarium space on campus.
Electronic Badging systems.
Visitor Check in and notification sytsems.
Package receiving tracking and notification systems.
Loading doc: Double trailer loading docs at each building for easy equipment and product shipments moving in out out.
We provide labs and office spaces ready to use. Break rooms and receiving that are stocked and managed. Plus shared equipment and resources to let you get started quick and go further faster at a lower cost.
